DISTANCE LEARNING ASSIGNMENTS

Service Learning allows students to gain valuable career-readiness knowledge by helping and learning in a workplace in the community.  Students participate in 80 hours (min.) of face to face work during the class that requires attention, preparation, action, reflection and celebration of their learning  under direct adult supervision at the selected service sites. Class supervision/assessment is directed by the WHS Career Specialist.

Required Instructional Materials and Resources:

Service learning packet

Off-Site Supervisor secured by student prior to day 7 of semester (unless approved for SL onsite at WHS by counselor and career specialist.)

Transportation (student must have a vehicle and be able to drive self to service learning site).
