This course introduces basic horsemanship to the students. Topics covered include introduction to the equine industry, safety, breeds, tack, judging, grooming, and handling. This course will also cover general care, stable management, basic first aid, foot care, nutrition, parturition and genetics. Ownership of a horse is not a prerequisite.
