This course stresses physical activity and fundamental skill practice. Aspects of nutrition, stress management and exercise are utilized to promote a personal fitness program and healthy lifestyles. This course meets the PE requirement for a diploma. Optional resources provide instruction in relationship education (REP) which gives students the knowledge and skills to have healthy dating relationships. It also provides instruction required by the SC Comprehensive Health Education Act, (units on reproductive health, pregnancy prevention and sexually transmitted diseases), from which a student may be exempted at parent request.
